Applications Forthcoming for City of St. Petersburg's 2019 Commercial Revitalization Program
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – The Commercial Revitalization Program (CRP) provides grant awards to projects that involve future work on a new or existing commercial building or development, improve business districts by redeveloping properties, decrease commercial vacancy rates, leverage private investment and add to the tax base. The City has allocated $175,000 this fiscal year available for these grants.
The CRP will provide funding for projects on the city’s eligible commercial corridors located outside of the downtown core and the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). This assistance is in the form of a matching grant, which will be paid at the successful completion of the project.
The application cycle for FY 2019 will begin on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Applications will be accepted until Monday, October 21, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
Applicants must submit the completed Commercial Revitalization Program application and all necessary attachments to The Greenhouse located at 440 2nd Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33701. Available staff will assist applicants throughout the process and will provide technical assistance regarding applicant eligibility and the application process.
