Public Notice: State of Florida CDBG-MIT Program

The City of St. Petersburg anticipates applying for Florida’s CDBG-MIT Program funding for Disinfection Air Handler Filtration System Units (Permanent and Mobile Units to be used in 18 buildings including, parks and recreation centers, libraries, and various Emergency Operations Centers), in the estimated amount of Three Million Five Hundred and Seven Thousand ($3,507,000.00),  provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through HUD’s newly created Community Development Block Grant-Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program.  This funding is designed to address mitigation needs to ensure that the state of Florida and its communities are more resilient to future natural disasters. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is the lead agency and responsible entity for administering the CDBG-MIT funds allocated to the state.

Applications are due to DEO no later than September 14th, 2020. 

The City of St. Petersburg intends to submit an application, which will include the following activities:
