The Annual Senior Hall of Fame is Going Virtual!

The 38th Annual Senior Hall of Fame, hosted by the St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation Department’s Sunshine Senior Center and the Office on Aging, is going virtual. The awards ceremony honors senior volunteers, age 62 and older, who devote their time to enriching the community. Nominees for the Senior Hall of Fame must be residents of Pinellas County and have dedicated exemplary service benefiting the residents of St. Petersburg.
 
Nominations for the Senior Hall of Fame are open. To submit a nomination for someone you know as an active senior volunteer in the community, visit stpeteparksrec.org/seniorawards. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, March 19.
 
This year’s Senior Hall of Fame awards ceremony will be highlighted on the St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation Facebook page at facebook.com/stpeteparksrec on Thursday, April 29 at noon. Honorable mentions will receive a gift. Inductees will receive a certificate and prize and will be honored at a City Council meeting with a Key to the City.

The Office on Aging is a division of the St. Petersburg Parks and Recreation Department and acts as an advocate and an educational resource to elders in the community. It offers programs, classes and services for adults and seniors of all abilities to stay active, connected and informed.
