City Offices Closed Labor Day; Holiday Impacts Trash Pickup and Curbside Recycling

For St. Petersburg residential customers during the holiday week starting September 7, Monday collections will be on Tuesday and Tuesday pickups will be on Wednesday - for both regular garbage and recycling. Thursday and Friday collection days remain the same. Brush sites will be open on September 7.

City facilities closed on Monday, September 7 include Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, City Hall, Municipal Services Center, libraries, recreation centers, eight neighborhood pools, Twin Brooks golf course, Enoch Davis Center, Sunshine Center, Dwight H. Jones Neighborhood Center, Jamestown Apartments-Townhomes office, Coliseum, Mahaffey Theater, and Sunken Gardens’ business offices.

The city’s Twin Brooks Golf Course remains closed a few more months during major renovations.

Facilities OPEN to the public on Monday, September 7 include two city golf courses (Mangrove Bay and Cypress Links), North Shore Aquatic Complex, Municipal Beach concession stand on Treasure Island, Municipal Marina Ship’s Store, Sanitation Department brush sites and Sunken Gardens attraction (note: business offices closed).

Curbside Recycling Reminder: Due to the Labor Day holiday, Monday and Tuesday curbside recycling collections will follow the same pattern of regular trash collection for St. Petersburg customers: Monday pickups will be on Tuesday instead; and Tuesday pickups on Wednesday. All other days - Thursday and Friday curbside recycling collections will remain the same.
