Meet Cookbook Author Janet K. Keeler at Main Library - Sat. Oct. 3
St. Petersburg, Fla. (September 30, 2015) – Janet K. Keeler, former food editor of the Tampa Bay Times, will speak in the Auditorium of the Main Library, 3745 Ninth Ave. N, St. Petersburg, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 3. Sponsored by the Friends of the Main Library, the program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
Keeler will talk about our love affair with family recipes. She invites the audience to bring their recipe boxes. In 2010 she created, gathered and tested more than 5,000 cookie recipes from her own recipe box and those of her readers and fellow food editors. She published the 150 best in an illustrated cookbook, Cookielicious!
She is now an instructor in journalism and food writing at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She is also coordinator of the new Graduate Food Writing and Photography certificate program at USFSP.
