Northeast Reclaimed Water Discharge Confined to Plant Property

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (February 2, 2017) –  About 2000 gallons of reclaimed water leaked from a broken pipe at the Northeast Water Reclamation Facility at 1160 62nd Avenue NE in St. Petersburg Wednesday.

The entire spill of the fully-treated reclaimed water was confined to an in-plant retention pond about 100 feet away from the discharge.  The leak was first reported shortly before 11 a.m. and was completely contained before noon.

There was NO discharge to any adjacent properties or waterways.
