St. Petersburg, Fla.  (September 7, 2017) --A “typical storm season” sees sandbag distribution in the neighborhood of 100-120,000 units.  This week – since Tuesday – the City of St. Petersburg has distributed more than 90,000 bags.

Just 40,000 more sandbags remained for public distribution as the operations began Thursday. The following sites will be open as long as bags last.

- Lake Vista Rec - 1401 62nd Ave S...
- Northeast Park - 875 62nd Ave NE
- Bartlett Park - 2000 7th St S
- Northwest Pool - 2331 60th St N

Please bring proof of residency or a utility bill. Limit will be 10 sandbags per resident. Staff at the locations will work until they run out!

Expect long lines and please be patient as our city team does their best to keep everyone safe and prepared.

We will advise when the supply of bags is exhausted.
