Children's Book Week: Design a Bookmark Contest, Through Sunday, May 6
St. Petersburg, FL (May 1, 2018) – Make your mark at the library! In honor of Children’s Book Week, elementary aged children (K to 5th grade) are invited to design a bookmark based on this year’s summer reading theme, Read to the Rhythm. Five winners from K to 2nd grade and five winners from 3rd to 5th grade will be chosen based on originality, reproducibility, and how well they express the theme. Winners will receive 25 copies of their bookmark and will be recognized at our Summer Reading Fest on Saturday, June 2 at the Main Library. Copies of the winning bookmarks will be also be distributed at all St. Petersburg Library System locations throughout the summer.
Elementary students can pick up a Children’s Book Week Bookmark Design Contest form at any St. Petersburg Library System location or go to splibraries.org to download the contest form. The deadline for entry is Sunday, May 6, 2018.
Children’s Book Week is an annual national celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading. Children’s Book Week 2018 is from Monday, April 30 to Sunday, May 6.
