St. Pete Hosts 2nd Annual Tampa Bay Area Muslim Association Iftar Dinner

St. Petersburg, FL (May 2018)

On May 30, 2018 at 7 p.m., Mayor Rick Kriseman and Muslim leaders from throughout Tampa Bay will host St. Petersburg’s 2nd Annual Iftar Dinner welcoming residents of all faiths to celebrate the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Iftar is the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. The event will be held at St. Petersburg’s historic Coliseum, located at 535 Fourth Avenue North.

Mayor Kriseman said “Now more than ever, we must be expressive in our love and respect for people of all faiths. For our second year, I am excited to bring the community together to honor our Muslim brothers and sisters.”

Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m., followed by prayer at 8:21 p.m.
