Curb Repairs to improve turn from Second Avenue North to Second Street North
St. Petersburg, Fla. (September 17, 2018) Drivers headed through the intersection of Second Street and Second Avenue North in St. Petersburg will have to work around some minor construction over the next few days that will eventually make their travels safer and easier.
Work to re-configure the curbing at the intersection of Second Avenue North and Second Street will allow for easier right-hand turns. Construction crews will have to remove the old curbing and re-configure the new over the next several days.
Crews will begin work at 8:00 am September 18 and will continue for approximately two days until the curb line, walkway cut out and road surface is fully restored.
One lane will remain open in each direction through the intersection, but there may be temporary delays. While detours and modification of traffic patterns will be fully signed, the City of St. Petersburg recommends that drivers find an alternative route during the construction times.
