Terry Tomalin Campground Dedication Event July 3

Print this page

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve has recently undergone improvements, including the new Terry Tomalin Campground, St. Pete's first public primitive family campground open to both individuals and groups. The 12-site campground's name honors the late Terry Tomalin, former Tampa Bay Times outdoors writer and husband to Deputy Mayor and City Administrator Kanika Tomalin.

Terry supported camping at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve through several service projects on the preserve. Terry frequented the former campground with his Boy Scouts Troop and the new Terry Tomalin Campground will allow more visitors to get closer to nature in the City’s backyard.

The City of St. Petersburg will host a dedication ceremony to introduce the new Terry Tomalin Campground and other enhancement projects at Boyd Hill.
