St. Petersburg Municipal Golf Courses Welcome Two Additional Golf Instructors

St. Petersburg, FL (September 2021) – Two additional professional golf instructors, one a PGA member and one a PGA Associate, have joined the City of St. Petersburg Municipal Golf Courses. Golfers new and experienced alike can now take private and small-group lessons from four instructors at Mangrove Bay Golf Course and Twin Brook Golf Course.

“We’re very excited to add these two golf instructors and continue offering affordable and quality golf lessons to new and experienced golfers in St. Pete,” said Jeff Hollis, Director of St. Petersburg Municipal Golf Courses.

Jonah Johnson, a PGA Professional, now offers private and small-group lessons at Mangrove Bay Golf Course. Johnson joins Rick Sopka, who has been offering lessons at Mangrove Bay Golf Course since 2008.

Johnson has been a golf instructor, working with students of varied ages and skill levels, since 2013. He helps break down the complex mechanics of a golf swing into simple understandable instruction, so that his students get more enjoyment from the game of golf. His past students describe him as extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable.
