Cypress Links Golf Course to Close Temporarily for Greens Replacement, Clubhouse Improvements

St. Petersburg, FL (April 13, 2022) – The City of St. Petersburg’s Cypress Links Golf Course, located at 875 62nd Ave. NE., will be temporarily closed starting in May 2022 to make improvements to the course.

The golf course will be closed to the public starting Monday, May 2, 2022 and is scheduled to reopen in October 2022. The scheduled improvements will include resurfacing 10 putting greens, including the practice green. Additionally, work will include rebuilding, leveling and replacing the grass at all the tees and improvements to the clubhouse.

“This will be the first major renovation of Cypress Links Golf Course since it opened about 25 years ago. We are excited to reopen in the Fall of 2022 with refreshed greens and an improved clubhouse,” said Golf Director Ken Betz.

The other two St. Petersburg municipal golf courses will remain open. Mangrove Bay Golf Course is located at 875 62nd Ave. NE. and Twin Brooks Golf Course is located at 3800 22nd Ave. S. Leagues that take place at Cypress Links will temporarily move to Twin Brooks during the closure.
