September 17 is Free Museum Day - a one-day event with museums all over the county and the country participating with free admission.

Check out museum websites and restrictions in advance, as some participating museums require reservations in advance and may only be eligible to local residents!

IT'S THE MOST [LOCAL-WATER-QUALITY-CONSCIOUS] TIME OF THE YEAR

That's right, the fertilizer ban is here. The rainy summer weather can cause nutrients from fertilizer to reach bodies of water and lead to environmental issues like algae blooms, fish kills and water quality problems (that's bad). To help prevent these environmental mishaps, the yearly fertilizer ban is in effect for the summer. Refrain from using fertilizer June 1 - September 30.

The SHINE Mural Festival returns for its eighth year, October 14-23, 2022. The internationally recognized street art festival will bring 17 new murals to the art districts and surrounding neighborhoods of St. Pete’s downtown.
