Get Involved: Available Seats on Several St. Petersburg Boards & Committees

Feb. 17, 2023 - The City of St. Petersburg has five Boards & Committees with new vacancies that are seeking residents to serve.

Arts Advisory Committee - Three Vacancies

The Arts Advisory Committee promotes the artistic, cultural and historical assets of the City and its environment. It reviews funding requests for cultural and educational programs here in the cultural hub of central Florida.

City Beautiful Commission (CBC) - Five Vacancies

The goal of the City Beautiful Commission is to enhance and safeguard the beauty of St. Pete's natural resources and city landscapes, thereby enriching the quality of life for the community.

Civilian Police Review Committee (CPRC) - Two Vacancies

The Civilian Police Review Committee (CPRC) is a volunteer advisory body whose purpose is to review citizen-generated complaint cases and cases that have received a high level of community interest, which have been filed against St. Petersburg police officers.

Committee to Advocate for Persons with Impairments - Four Vacancies

The function of the Committee to Advocate for Persons with Impairments is to advise City Council on issues and to advocate on behalf of persons with disabilities.

Public Arts Commission - One Vacancy

The Public Arts Commission enjoys the responsibility of making sure that the City continues to put emphasis on all of the arts in St. Pete. The commission does this not only with funds to acquire new art and maintain its extensive collection, but also to help set a nurturing environment for all of the artists, galleries, production companies, venues and museums within the city.
