A Guide to St. Pete's Grand Prix Weekend
February 2023 - Let's Embrace the Race, St. Pete! It's Grand Prix of St. Petersburg week. We're here to share what's happening and when - and all the details in between.
Schedule of Events
Thursday, March 2
Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Flag Raising
Mayor Ken Welch, St. Pete City Council and world-class drivers raise the Grand Prix flag to kick off race week.
10 a.m. on the steps of City Hall
Grand Prix 5K
6 p.m. on the race track, start line at North Straub Park
Party in the Park
5:30 p.m. in North Straub Park
Friday, March 3
Track is hot and the practice rounds begin!
Racing begins at 7:55 a.m and ends at 6:35 p.m.
Fireworks at the St. Pete Pier from 9-9:15 p.m.
Saturday, March 4
Racing begins at 7:55 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 5
Final race day! Racing begins at 8 a.m. and goes until 3:45 p.m.

Need-to-Know Parking Information
Parking
Parking at Tropicana Field Rays lot #6 & #7 only (between 10th St. and 13th St./3rd Ave. S.; Enter on 3rd Ave. S. from MLK St.)
- Fee: $15
- Parking is cashless and may be purchased with a credit card
Accessible Parking (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
On Northside of Central Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets
Motorcycle Parking (Saturday and Sunday)
On West side of 1st Street between Central Avenue and 1st Avenue South
Tips for Getting Around:
Shuttle Service from Tropicana Field Parking
Buses and trolleys will provide a free shuttle to the Grand Prix. Trolleys are equipped with a wheelchair lift.

Downtown Looper Bus Service
You can also get to the Grand Prix by riding the free Downtown Looper trolley. Schedule and stops can be found at loopertrolley.com.
SunRunner Bus Rapid Transit Service
PSTA's SunRunner service provides free transportation between St. Pete Beach and downtown St. Petersburg. The closest stop to the Grand Prix is at 6th Ave. S. & 3rd St. More information at psta.net/sunrunner.
