Your City Guide to Rays Opening Day

Baseball is back for the 2023 season and here is everything you need to know for Rays Opening Day.

General Parking & Traffic Tips
Expect heavy traffic and delays before and after the game. Plan on taking extra time for travel and parking on Opening Day and throughout Opening Weekend.

On-site parking will fill quickly, consider off-site parking as well. Travel options to the stadium are available.

Car Free Transportation Options
The SunRunner:
Catch a ride with the SunRunner, PSTA's Bus Rapid Transit service. With service from St. Pete Beach to downtown St. Pete every 15 minutes at peak times and a designated traffic lane, the SunRunner is a quick, easy and FREE (until Nov. 23) way to get to the beach, downtown or anywhere in between. Service runs until midnight.

Stations near Tropicana Field:
East bound service- 1st Avenue South at 13th Street
West bound service- 1st Avenue North and 13th Street

Baseball Shuttle:
There's a Baseball Shuttle that runs for each home game this season.

The shuttle service starts 2 hours before the beginning of the game and continues until 1 hour after the game is over.

Shuttle service is approximately every 5 minutes. The shuttle is operated by both Minibuses and Trolleys. Trolleys are equipped with a wheelchair lift.

Shuttle Stop Locations
2nd Street South between Central Avenue & 1st Avenue South (under the pedestrian bridge connecting the Office Tower and Parking Garage)

Motorists may park in the garage by entering from 1st Avenue South between 1st and 2nd Streets

16th Street, just south of 3rd Avenue South

E-Scooters
Two different types of Scooter Share options are available for rent at designated corrals across downtown. E-scooters offer a fun, car-free way to get around and experience downtown St. Pete. Download the smart phone apps to get started. More info, here.

Shuttle Service Info for All Home Games for 2023 Season:
The Baseball Shuttle will be operating for each regular home game of the entire 2023 season. The shuttle is operated by both Minibuses and Trolleys. Note, trolleys are equipped with a wheelchair lift.

Service hours: Starting 90 minutes prior to the beginning of each game until 1 hour after the game is over

Service Frequency: Shuttle service is approximately every 10-15 minutes.
