City of St. Petersburg Asks for Public Input on Stormwater Master Plan

March 29, 2023 – The City of St. Petersburg is asking for public input on the Stormwater Master Plan, a multi-year plan that works to improve stormwater quality, reduce flooding, and mitigate the impacts of sea level rise in St. Pete.

Input on the plan and corresponding maps is being accepted in the following ways until May 5, 2023:

• Attend a Meeting: A virtual public meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 12 from 6-7 p.m.
• Online: Visit www.stpete.org/stormwatermasterplan to provide input through an online form.
• In-Person: Visit one of four pop-up locations at a City recreation center near you

  • Thomas Jet Jackson Recreation Center, 1000 28th St. S.

  • J.W. Cate Recreation Center, 5801 22nd Ave. N.

  • Willis S. Johns Recreation Center, 6635 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N.

The Plan is comprised of an evaluation of recommendations and alternatives for improvements to the stormwater system to mitigate the risk of flooding while enhancing resiliency and sustainability. For questions about the plan or input options, please email stormwater.masterplan.update@stpete.org.
