Sandbags
Quick Fix for Minor Flooding
When an official warning is declared, the City makes sand, shovels and bags available to St. Pete residents.
Sandbag Pickup Locations
St. Pete residents may pick up a maximum of 10 sandbags per household. Staff will be on hand to assist seniors and others who may be unable to fill and load their own sandbags. Residents must provide proof of residence (such as a driver's license) to receive sandbags.
Year-Round
Sandbags are available to city residents throughout the year during non-emergency times at the following location. This location will close during a declared emergency.
- Pavement and Traffic Operations Building, 1744 9th Ave. N.
Only During Storm Conditions
Following a declaration of a tropical storm or hurricane warning, sandbags will be issued at the following locations. These locations may open earlier depending on direction and/or tidal conditions. These locations are not open year-round.
