The City of St. Petersburg offers residential trash pickup services to more than 76,000 private household accounts, collecting waste from the provided alley or curbside containers.

Household Electronics & Chemicals Disposal

Safely dispose of chemicals and electronics, such as old computers, TVs, rechargeable batteries, paint, fluorescent bulbs, and fertilizer during Mobile Collection Events. Collection events are held across Pinellas County throughout the year. Find the next Mobile Collection Event by visiting the Pinellas County Mobile Collection website. 

St. Pete residents may also arrange for free Special Pickup of TVs, furniture, or computer equipment by calling the Sanitation Department at 727-893-7398.

Brush sites are closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Collection Frequency 

Twice-Weekly Collection

Single-family customers receive one 90-gallon container; additional containers are available upon request for an extra per-container charge. Multi-family residences receive one container per unit.

Once-Weekly Collection

Some customers may be eligible for once-weekly trash collection if they meet the following criteria:

• Single-family residence occupied by one or two people
• Water usage of 5,000 gallons or less per month. If water consumption is greater, the twice-weekly collection rate will apply.

Zone-specific trash and recycling calendars are distributed by mail to sanitation customers at the beginning of each year. The calendars are also available below. Find your collection zone here.
