2017 Primary Candidate Forums

2017 Primary City Council and Mayoral Candidate Forums are presented by the St. Petersburg Area League of Women Voters

Forums will take place in City Hall Council Chamber, 175 Fifth St. N. and will be formatted and moderated by the St. Petersburg Area League of Women Voters.

Tuesday, July 18 - 2017 St. Petersburg City Council Candidate Forum - Districts 2, 4, 6, and 8

6:30 p.m. Candidate Forum

Tuesday, July 25 - 2017 St. Petersburg Mayoral Candidate Forum

6:30 p.m. Doors Open
7 p.m. Candidate Forum

Primary Election                August 29, 2017

General Election                November 7, 2017

QUALIFYING PERIOD:     Starts June 8, 2017 at 8 a.m. and ends on June 23, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Must be a registered voter.

Candidates for Council Member must have been a resident of the declared district for at least the past 12 months, as of the date of the primary election. 

Candidates cannot have become and cannot be a candidate, a nominee, or representative of any political party or any committee or convention representing or acting for any political party.

TERM OF OFFICE:     4 Years, beginning January 2, 2018
