Drainage Improvements

Project Overview

The City of St. Petersburg Engineering and Capital Improvements Department is conducting a stormwater improvement project along 50th Avenue North between 4th Street North (SR687) and 7th Street North, and along 7th Street North between 50th Avenue North and 54th Avenue North canal. The project will include a hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) computer model to evaluate the flood stages in the neighborhood and in the basin discharging into Placido Bayou. Drainage improvements will be designed to include an improved storm drainage conduit and collection system, road profile adjustments and sediment collection devices. The project will also include traffic calming islands to replace traffic humps, and sidewalk improvements.
