St. Pete Parking
There are several options for parking in St. Pete, including metered, time-limited, and free on-street parking, public lots and garages, and residential parking.
St. Pete hosts more than 1,000 annual downtown events and many of them feature free shuttle service between parking and event locations on the St. Petersburg Trolley. Residents and visitors can also use the Looper Shuttle Service, which loops St. Pete's downtown, EDGE, and Grand Central Districts on a regular daily schedule. PSTA's Central Avenue Trolley also serves Central Avenue from Pier parking lots in downtown St. Pete to Pass-A-Grille on St. Pete Beach.

On-Street Parking
Across St. Pete, on-street parking is designated as metered, time-limited, by residential permit only, or free (no signage).
Metered Parking
On-street metered parking can be paid with credit card or coins at the meter, or through the ParkMobile App. Hourly fees vary from $1 to $1.50 per hour and times of enforcement vary. Please check the meter for enforcement hours and days of the week.
ParkMobile App
Residents and visitors to St. Pete can handle metered parking transactions using the ParkMobile app. If mobile devices don’t support the app, users can call the ParkMobile phone number to manage parking sessions.
Once registered, motorists can use a mobile app, the internet, or call toll free 1-877-727-5714 to pay for parking ($0.35 per transaction or $1.75 per month and $0.25 per transaction for frequent users).

A Resident Discount Program waives the $0.35 transaction fee for registered St. Pete residents. To sign up for the Resident Discount Program, residents with a ParkMobile account must submit 2 out of 3 of the following documents referencing a St. Petersburg address to StPeteResidents@ParkMobileglobal.com:
- valid photo ID
- valid vehicle registration
- valid proof of residency
Once residency documents have been approved, an email will be sent within 3 business days confirming the discount has been applied to the resident’s account.
Time Limited Parking
When parking in an area that has a 2-hour parking sign (or another time limit as posted on signs), please note that parking is enforced in this area is for the time posted hours only. You must travel through an intersection to start a new parking session.
Policy for Temporarily Reserving On-Street Parking Spaces
The City of St. Petersburg retains the right to occasionally reserve parking spaces on a temporary special-needs basis. Temporary parking spaces may be reserved for commercial vehicles needing immediate parking to access construction or work zones in order to complete necessary work. Parking spaces may also be reserved in other special circumstances and will be reviewed on a per-case basis. Requests to reserve spaces in front of buildings not in a construction or work zone will require approval from the business. Temporary space reservations will cost $10 per day and will be paid at the time of reservation.

There are five residential parking permit zones. Read the posted on-street parking signs when parking. Parking regulations are subject to change without notice. Boundaries for each residential parking permit zone are listed below and can be found on this map.
- Zone 1A: Bound by 5th Ave. N., Bayshore Dr. (to include the north side of Central Ave.) up to 7th Street N./Arlington Ave./Mirror Lake Dr./7th St.N.
- Zone 1B: Bound by Bayshore Dr. (to include the south side of Central Ave.), and 5th Ave. S. up to 7th Street South.
- Zone 2: Bound by Burlington Ave. (Mirror Lake Dr./Arlington Ave./7th St. N./Central Ave./7th St. S.), 5th Ave. S., 16th St. S./N., as well as M.L.K. Jr. St. N. from Burlington Ave. to 5th Ave. N.
- Zone 3: Bound by Burlington Ave., 16th St. S./N., 5th Avenue South, to 22nd Street South/North.
- Zone 4: Bound by 8th Ave. N., Beach Dr. NE, 5th Ave. N., and 3rd St. N.
how to apply for A Permit
Visit the city of St. Petersburg Parking Citation Payment Office at 301 Central Ave. in downtown St. Petersburg during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday in order to purchase a permit.
Please bring:
- Driver's License with current downtown address in one of the RPP zones
- Vehicle Registration with the same address
- $15 calendar year fee to be paid by credit card, cash, or check

St. Pete offers several public parking garages and lots around the downtown area that offer daily, monthly, and special event parking.
Sundial Parking Garage
Entrance at 117 2nd St. N.
The Sundial Garage provides more than 1,295 parking spaces for downtown shopping, dining, and businesses.
- Accessible parking located next to the elevators on each parking level
- Electric vehicle charging stations located on levels 2 & 4
- Height clearance at the garage entrance is 6’8”

Daily parking- Monday through Friday, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- $1 per hour or any part thereof, $8 maximum per day
- Monday through Friday, after 5 p.m., and all day Saturday & Sunday
- $1 — up to 4 hours
- $3 — 4 to 5 hours
- $5 — 6 to 7 hours
- $6 — 7 to 8 hours
- $7 — 8-9 hours
- $8 — 9 or more hours
- Next day rate begins at 5 a.m.
- Non-reserved monthly rate is $75 plus tax
- Non-reserved monthly rate for rooftop parking only is $40 plus tax

$1 OFF Sundial Theaters with parking garage entry ticket. After you park, present the box office with your parking entry ticket from the Sundial/MidCore garage, and receive $1 off an adult's movie admission. During special event parking, pre-pay for your parking at the garage, bring your garage entry ticket to the theater and Muvico Sundial will reimburse your parking after you purchase a movie ticket. If you park Monday-Friday before 5pm, get your garage ticket stamped at the theater to qualify for the night/weekend rate.

SouthCore Parking Garage

The SouthCore Garage provides more than 1,124 parking spaces for downtown shopping, dining, and businesses, as well as parking for visitors to the James Museum.

Daily parking- Floors 3, 4, 7 and 8 are available for visitor parking

- Saturday morning has a $3 flat rate on entry in effect October to May

Lot 2 has 64 parking spaces and is open to the public for transient and monthly parking.

The Tampa Bay Rays parking lots are open to the public during non-game or event times. Spots can be paid for through the ParkMobile.
