Housing & Community Development
The Housing and Community Development includes both a Development Department and a Programs Division. Their overall goal is to provide citizens with a suitable living environment, including public safety and sound infrastructure, and to retain and develop affordable, livable housing structures. They provide programs and community services to connect residents to resources that create Housing Opportunities for All.
Services
- Administration of grants, loans, and programming for residents and owners of single-family and multi-family housing units
- Maintaining the City's Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan, Local Housing Assistance Plan, Local Housing Incentive Plan
- Work with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) to obtain grant funding
- Assist homeowners with foreclosure prevention resources
