City of St. Petersburg to Host 1st Annual Supplier Diversity Day, Celebrate Local Business Inclusivity and Growth

September 8, 2023 – The City of St. Petersburg Office of Supplier Diversity is excited to announce its inaugural Supplier Diversity Day on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Coliseum.

The open house-style event is designed to highlight the significance of business diversity and connect local businesses with procurement opportunities in St. Pete and the Tampa Bay area. Supplier Diversity Day will offer a platform for small business owners, and advocates for local business diversity to engage, learn, and contribute to St. Pete’s vibrant economic landscape.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Educational Opportunities - Attendees can benefit from inspiring keynote speakers, informative panel discussions, and engaging breakout sessions. These sessions will cover the bidding process, contracting opportunities, business growth, networking strategies, and more.

  • Networking and Relationship Building – Attendees can participate in business-to-business matchmaking, on-site engagement with City officials and industry leaders, and interactive vendor exhibits with contracting opportunities.

  • Light breakfast, snacks, and lunch included in registration.

  • Door prizes and more

The City of St. Petersburg created the Office of Supplier Diversity to promote fair and equal business opportunities through the intentional implementation of diversity programs to ensure equity in contracts and procurement for all members of our community who want to do business with the City.
