Hurricane Idalia Debris Pickup Update

St. Petersburg (September 20, 2023) - Debris pickup following Hurricane Idalia continues as crews conclude the first pass in Shore Acres, Tanglewood, Harbor Isle, and Rivera Bay last week.

After evaluation of damage, the City will do a second and final pass to complete debris pickup starting the week of September 25. Residents in affected areas in the neighborhoods mentioned above are strongly encouraged to complete their remediation plans as soon as possible so that crews are able to assist in pickup.

Vegetative debris can be broken down and placed in the regular trash bin (black bin) for pickup. If items are construction/demolition debris or too large for the bin, residents should place debris at the curb without blocking roadways or sidewalks. Residents are asked to not bag their debris. Bagged debris will not be able to be collected.
