Hurricane Idalia Debris Pickup Concludes Friday, October 6

October 2, 2023 - Debris pickup, following Hurricane Idalia, will conclude this Friday, October 6, as crews finish their second pass in impacted areas - Shore Acres, Tanglewood, Harbor Isle, and Rivera Bay neighborhoods. If you live in these areas and have storm debris that requires collection, please contact the Sanitation Department at 727-893-7398 before Friday.

Following the conclusion of storm debris pickup, residents should put all debris in their regular trash bin (black bin) for pickup. Residents with items that do not fit in their bins can request a Special Pickup by calling 727-893-7398 or visiting stpete.org/SpecialPickup.

Tips to ensure items are picked up by the City:

  • Place debris in front of the house near the roadway curb.

  • DO NOT place debris near trees, poles, fire hydrants, utility boxes, or other structures that make debris removal difficult.

  • DO NOT place debris in alleyways or on sidewalks.

  • DO NOT place debris in the street or block roadways.

  • DO NOT bag their debris. Bagged debris will not be able to be collected.

St. Pete residents can drop off vegetative debris at one of the City's Brush Sites. All brush site locations are open 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., 7 days a week.
