City of St. Petersburg Seeks Residents to Serve on the Community Benefits Advisory Council

The upcoming Community Benefits Advisory Council will review the Historic Gas Plant Development Project

St. Petersburg, FL (October 31, 2023) - The City of St. Petersburg is accepting applications for the Community Benefits Advisory Council (CBAC), a non-partisan board that advises the Mayor, City Council, and the citizens of St. Pete, and consults on the implementation of the City’s Community Benefits Agreement Program (CBA Program). 

The upcoming Community Benefits Agreement Program will be reviewing the Historic Gas Plant District Redevelopment Project. This project will have an enormous economic and social impact on the St. Pete community and requires the utmost consideration.

Applicant Eligibility and Expectations Overview:

  1. Applicants must reside, work, or own a business within one mile of where the Community Benefit Program Project is to be located. 

  2. Applicants must sign and notarize a document attesting to no financial or other conflict of interest with the Community Benefit Program project the committee will be reviewing. 

  3. Applicants need to be prepared to provide input on the Historic Gas Plant District Redevelopment community benefits.

  4. Members are expected to attend weekly meetings in January 2024. 

Applications are now open and will be accepted through Friday, November 10 at 11:59 p.m.
