Traffic Interruptions on 4th St. N & 83rd. Ave. N Beginning Sunday, Nov. 5 and into Monday, Nov. 6

November 5, 2023 - Due to an 8-inch potable water main break located on 83rd Ave. N east of 4th St. N, parts of 83rd Ave. N. will be closed beginning Sunday evening, Nov. 5 and into Monday, Nov. 6.

83rd Ave. N from Diagonal Rd to 4th St. N is currently closed to all Westbound traffic. The cause of the water main break was due to aging infrastructure. 

City crews have repaired the break, but further work may be needed to replace the entire section of the water main across 83rd Ave N and completely restore the roadway. There are no current service interruptions for customers.

The exact time for the road to re-open is yet to be determined. Commuters and residents should prepare for the road to be closed for all of Monday. Further intermittent closures may be required depending on the extent of the replacement needed.
