The St. Pete Pier will host its first running event on July 4, 2021. The nationally-recognized team that produces St Pete Run Fest is bringing the inaugural St Pete Pier Run to the Southeast's largest waterfront playground.

The multi-day festival is anchored by a 4-mile race on July 4th and includes a 40-yard dash to raise money for charity. The event also includes kids races, pie eating contests, live musical acts throughout the weekend with headliners each evening and a special event for fireworks viewing on July 4th.

The 4-mile run course begins on the St. Pete Pier, heads south on Bayshore Drive, past Al Lang Stadium and the Dali Museum, along Dali Way, and south on First Street to USF St Pete. From there, participants will turn around on 8th Avenue Southeast and head back to the St. Pete Pier.

The inaugural running event will allow up to 2,000 runners this year to ensure a high-quality and safe event.

The event is “Ocean Friendly” and will not allow single-use plastics or Styrofoams with a portion of the proceeds donated to cleaning local waterways.
