Cold Shelter Activation and Locations in St. Pete

Pinellas County’s Cold Night Shelters have been activated for this Friday, January 28th and Saturday, January 29th. Saturday night will be the coldest, with an expected low of 37 degrees according to the National Weather Service. The shelters are activated when the National Weather Service expects the “feels like” temperature to hit 40 degrees or colder across the county between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

St. Pete Cold Night Shelter Locations:

  • Northwest Presbyterian Church: 6330 54th Ave. N. (Hours: 6 p.m.-6 a.m.)
  • Salvation Army: 1400 4th St. S. (Hours: 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m.)
  • The Turning Point: 1810 5th Ave. N. (Hours: 6 p.m.-6 a.m. )

Families with children will be referred to family shelters on cold nights (if space is available). Families should call 2-1-1, Tampa Bay Cares, for information on family shelters.
