Run for Fun at the Fitness in Therapeutics 5K

St. Petersburg, FL (Oct. 18, 2022) – The St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department’s Therapeutic Recreation (TR) Division is hosting the 2nd Annual Fitness in Therapeutics 5K or “F.I.T. 5K.” Grab your running shoes and join us Saturday, Nov. 5, at Walter Fuller Park, 7891 26th Ave. N., St. Pete

This fun 5K celebrates therapeutic recreation opportunities while providing inclusive activities for all ages. We welcome everyone, ages 5 and up, to participate in this family friendly event. The registration fee is $15 per person. Proceeds from the event benefit the TR Division’s Camp Redbird scholarships, providing access to therapeutic recreation opportunities during the summer for families in need of assistance. Registration is available online until Thursday, Nov. 3, at 11:59 p.m. at www.stpeteparksrec.org/therapeutics.

Event Schedule:

  • 9 a.m.: Participant check-in
  • 9 – 9:20 a.m.: Prerace warm-up with Healthy St. Pete
  • 9:30 a.m.: Race begins
  • 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Postrace celebration with activities and vendors
