Mind Power Family Wellness Expo Comes to St. Pete

May 16, 2023 – Family wellness opportunities are coming to St. Pete in May! The St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department’s Healthy St. Pete Division, in partnership with Aetna, a CVS Health Care Company, is excited to announce the upcoming Mind Power Family Wellness Expo happening on May 20, 2023, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Flora Wylie Park, 1400 North Shore Dr. NE.

The free expo features interactive yoga demonstrations, healthy cooking demonstrations, engaging games for all ages, mindful crafts, and health and wellness vendors. This family-friendly event is bringing a new way for all ages to mindfully engage with wellness opportunities.

The expo will also celebrate the successful completion of the 16-week Mind Power Program made possible through the generous support of Aetna. Participants enrolled in the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department’s Before and After School Program and Therapeutic Recreation Program participated in the Mind Power Program, receiving, at no cost, weekly yoga instruction from our partners at Body Electric Yoga Company and daily mindfulness-based practices using the interactive Inner Explorer platform design to teach youth how to cultivate critical life skills to support their mental health and well-being. The Mind Power Program aimed to reduce stress, encourage healthy habits, and strengthen social and emotional learning in youth.

Admission to the expo is free and open to the public. No registration required to participate. Parking for the event is available in the parking lot located at 12th Ave. NE and North Shore Dr. NE. For more information, contact Healthy St. Pete at 727-892-5994 or visit healthystpetefl.com.
