CareFest, St. Pete's Two-Month Long Community Giving Event, Returns this September

The annual Carefest Day of Community Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30.

St. Petersburg, FL (July 19, 2023) – St. Pete’s CareFest is back this fall! The celebration of volunteering and giving back to the community returns Friday, September 1 through Tuesday, October 31.

In partnership with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay, the City of St. Petersburg will also hold the annual CareFest Day of Community Service on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the City on a Hill Church, 4265 13th Ave. N.

There are several ways for St. Pete residents to get involved and give back during this season of giving.

Ways to Participate

Sign-up to Volunteer: If you, or a group, are interested in volunteering for a CareFest community service project please complete the following form at stpete.org/ICAN.

Adopt a Project: Visit carefestusa.com to adopt a local project or submit a project. 

Organize a Neighborhood Cleanup: Neighborhood leaders can contact the Neighborhood Relations Department at Ivan.Fountain@stpete.org or 727-892-5141 for more information and to schedule. Up to two neighborhood cleanups may be scheduled in the city per weekend.

Host a Donation Drive: Collect items to donate to local nonprofit organizations. Contact the Neighborhood Relations Department at ICAN@stpete.org or 727-892-5141 for more information.

Even though CareFest may run through Oct. 31, community members are encouraged to give back to their community all year long.

Help the City track your impact. Report back to the Neighborhood Relations Department with how your neighborhood plans to help the community during St. Pete CareFest by emailing ICAN@stpete.org. If your neighborhood has helped in ways not listed, let us know!
