Baseball is back for the 2024 season and here is everything you need to know for the Tampa Bay Rays Opening Weekend.

General Parking & Traffic Tips

Expect heavy traffic. Plan on taking extra time for travel and parking on Opening Day and throughout Opening Weekend.

On-site parking will fill quickly, consider off-site parking as well. Find additional parking options at stpete.org/Parking.

Car-Free Transportation Options

The SunRunner

Catch a ride with the SunRunner, PSTA's Bus Rapid Transit service. With service from St. Pete Beach to downtown St. Pete every 15 minutes at peak times and a designated traffic lane, the SunRunner is a quick and easy way to get to the beach, downtown or anywhere in between. Service runs until midnight.

Make sure to stop by PSTA's table on Opening Day to pick-up your special edition SunRunner cowbell! Limited to the first 500 guests.

Stations near Tropicana Field:

  • East bound service- 1st Avenue South at 13th Street
  • West bound service- 1st Avenue North and 13th Street

Baseball Shuttle

The Baseball Shuttle will be operating for each regular home game of the entire 2024 season. For Opening Day, the shuttle service starts 2 hours before the beginning of the game and continues until 1 hour after the game is over, approximately every 5 minutes.

The shuttle is operated by both Minibuses and Trolleys. Trolleys are equipped with a wheelchair lift.

For the remainder of the season, service will begin 90 minutes prior to the beginning of each game until 1 hour after the game is over. Shuttles will run approximately every 10-15 minutes.

Shuttle Stop Locations:

  • 2nd Street South between Central Avenue & 1st Avenue South (under the pedestrian bridge connecting the Office Tower and Parking Garage)

  • Motorists may park in the garage by entering from 1st Avenue South between 1st and 2nd Streets

  • 16th Street, just south of 3rd Avenue South

E-Scooters

Bike Share

Lime bikes are a convenient option to get around downtown St. Pete. Lime's smooth, eco-friendly, and comfortable Gen4 e-bikes are available for rent through the Lime app.
